Gergely Pohárnok - Cinematographer of the Year The Hungarian Society of Cinematographers (HSC) organised the Golden Eye Festival for the second time. 121 films of 90 cinematographers entered for the competition. At the gala (in Budapest ) on Saturday evening Gergely Pohárnok was awarded the "Cinematographer of the Year" prize - for his films, Black Brush ( Fekete kefe ) and Hukkle . The Legends lifetime achievement awards were for the first time handed over - to György Illés, János Tóth and to László Kovács and Vilmos Zsigmond, both arriving home in Hungary from the US for this occasion. The winner feature film cinematographer was András Nagy ( A fény ösvényei/Paths of the Light ). In the category of Film Art University Katalin Mészáros (Laci) was awarded. In the category of music clip the work of Dániel Garas was acknowledged, in the dramatised documentray that of Sándor Várkonyi, in the musical films that of Tibor Nemes. For nature films Szabolcs Mosonyi got a prize. In the competition of entertainment magazines Zsolt László was awarded, in news magazines András Szobrász, in public culture Tamás Nemescsói and in commercials Zsolt Tóth. In the TV film category Péter Szatmári ( A Nagy Könyv - 1984/The Great Book - 1984 ) was the winner, in the experimental film Sándor Kardos ( Résfilm/Gapfilm ), in the short feature Tamás Keményffy ( Most látszom, most nem/Now You Can See, Now You Can't ), in the documentary Francisco Gózon ( Amari Kris ), in the co-productional/international feature film category Gyula Pados ( Sorstalanság/Fateless ) was awarded.
