Again Golden Eye Cinematographer Festival Being enthusiastic after the success of last year's festival the Hungarian Society of Cinematographers (HSC) again organises the Golden Eye Festival: the films in competition can be watched also by the wide public in Urania National Movies Theatre on 15-16th October - it was said in Urania in a press conference on Tuesday. Being enthusiastic after the success of last year's festival the Hungarian Society of Cinematographers (HSC) again organises the Golden Eye Festival: the films in competition can be watched also by the wide public in Urania National Movies Theatre on 15-16th October - it was said in Urania in a press conference on Tuesday. The members of the HSC award films created in 2004- 2005 in sixteen categories. They also give out the "Cinematographer of the Year" award. A new category is going to be established: the Legend Lifetime Achievement Award is given to such cinematographers, whose life and work has been - for decades - one to be followed and who contributed to the recognition of Hungarian filmmakers all around the world. HSC is going to give this prize now to four world-famous professional: György Illés, László Kovács, János Tóth and Vilmos Zsigmond. For this year's festival the HSC prepares a list of those 12 films, which they consider from professional point of view outstanding, epoch-making cinematographic work in the Hungarian film production. They would like the 12 films to be on show throughout a countrywide campaign thus making the films even more popular - learned the colleague of MTI at the Tuesday press conference. www.index.hu
